Job Description
At Fitness Passport, we are driven by a clear purpose: to make fitness more accessible, so more people can lead active and healthier lives. Established in ****, we're a corporate health and fitness program partnering with the public sector, corporate employers, and leading fitness facilities across Australia and New Zealand, providing members with access to a wide range of gyms and wellness resources.
n
As we enter an exciting new phase of growth, Fitness Passport is executing an ambitious strategy while keeping our member experience a top priority.
n
The Role:
n
The Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager will own the commercial and operational engine behind Fitness Passport's wellbeing app marketplace. This is a newly created role building out a recent product line for Fitness Passport.
n
Reporting directly to the Head of Ecosystem, you'll be the first hire into a current team, joining at the most critical and formative stage as the program builds toward its November **** launch.
n
This role blends commercial deal-making, partner relationship management, and program operations, inside a small, fast-moving team. You'll own the wellness partner portfolio end to end: prospecting, negotiating, contracting, ongoing performance management, and renewal decisions. You'll lead commercial negotiations with partners directly, with the Head of Ecosystem involved on the most strategically significant deals. You'll also build the go-to-market (GTM) and operations playbooks that keep every partner commitment on track as the program scales through launch and into rapid growth. It's a genuine blend of external relationship work and internal program building, and the right person will enjoy both equally.
n
What you will be doing:
n
n
Own the wellness partner portfolio end to end: sourcing, contracting, onboarding, and ongoing management across a broadening range of wellness categories, maintaining a pipeline of prospective partners and recommending additions or replacements to keep the ecosystem strong.
n
Lead commercial negotiations and partner relationships:
leading deal negotiations from initial commercial discussion through to signature, acting as the primary commercial and operational contact for all contracted partners, and managing check-ins, quarterly business reviews, escalations, and renewal decisions once the program is live.
n
Build the playbooks that make the marketplace run: creating the GTM playbook (activation campaigns, webinars, ongoing partner engagement) and the Operations Support playbook (member support triage, cancellations, escalation paths, and partner compliance).
n
Coordinate partner workstreams across the business: acting as the internal point of contact for partner-related requests and aligning different functions across the business.
n
Partner performance reporting: consolidating redemption, activation, engagement, and cost data into regular reporting for the Head of Ecosystem and senior leadership, with trends flagged and recommendations included.
n
Manage partner risk and compliance: tracking contractual obligations (data provision, branding, integration SLAs), assessing network risks like concentration and integration readiness, and flagging early warning signs before they escape.
n
n
About You:
n
n
Genuinely curious and passionate about health, wellness, and fitness.
n
5+ years in partnership management, key account management, program management, or a comparable commercial/operational role.
n
Relationship management experience with accountability for a portfolio of external partners, ideally involving product integrations or platform/marketplace relationships.
n
Proven commercial negotiation experience: you've led deal negotiations independently, not just supported them,
and you're comfortable holding a commercial position in the room without escalating every decision.
n
Experience coordinating cross-functional workstreams across multiple internal teams and external partners.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication, including partner-facing correspondence and reporting.
n
Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy in a role and program that is still being defined.
n
Comfortable using AI tools day to day, with the judgment to critically assess outputs and the skill to direct them well.
n
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret partner performance data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
n
Experience in a startup, scale-up, or marketplace/platform environment where processes were being built rather than maintained is highly valued.
n
n
What You'll Love:
n
