The Role

An opportunity has become available for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (Radiology) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our ******-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will
n
n
Apply advanced clinical knowledge, skills, and expertise in Medical Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional Radiology
n
Contribute to organisational key objectives and performance indicators within Radiology
n
Provide clinical and professional leadership through supporting, guiding and directing staff
n
Undertake clinical supervision of nurses in consultation with the Nurse Unit Manager
n
Commit to ongoing education and assist with delivery of education to nursing staff within Radiology
n
Collaboratively lead implementation of policy, practice changes and clinical innovation
n
n
About you
n
To be successful in this position you will require:
n
n
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
n
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
n
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
n
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
n
Declaration of responsible discipline history must be disclosed
n
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
n

Radiology delivers a wide range of diagnostic imaging and interventional services across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS). The service provides a Level 6 Medical Imaging Service at Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) and a Level 4 Service at Robina Hospital. The Queensland Health Clinical Services Capability Framework (version 3) describes these services as:

A Level 6 service (Southport) provides a wide range of imaging services and complex, on-site interventional and neuro-interventional procedures, Nuclear Medicine, Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services on-site.
n
A Level 4 service (Robina) provides fixed-room fluoroscopy, on-site CT services, MRI, complex ultrasound, interventional radiology Tier A, and mammography and interventional breast imaging services.
