Qualia Wine Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our maintenance team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance on winery equipment and infrastructure to ensure the safe, productive and reliable operation of the winery. During the annual vintage period (late January to the end of April), the role requires participation in shift work, including weekends, to support winery operations. At times, you will also be required to assist with the operation and maintenance of the winery's wastewater treatment systems.
Key responsibilities
Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on winery equipment and infrastructure
Ensure secure, efficient and reliable operation of the winery
Participate in shift work, including weekends, during the annual vintage period
Assist with the operation and maintenance of the winery's wastewater treatment systems
Work both independently and as part of a team
About you
Trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter/Welder
Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance
Stainless steel welding and fabrication experience (desirable)
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Commitment to workplace health and safety
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Willingness to participate in shift work and weekend work during the annual vintage period
Forklift licence, or willing to obtain
