About the Role
n
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing horticultural activities and coordinating day-to-day site operations.
n
In this role, you will supervise 5-6 mobile garden maintenance teams across high end industrial and commercial sites throughout Melbourne's Northwest suburbs, ensuring high-quality service delivery and efficient day-to-day operations.
n
Responsibilities include:
n
Lead, coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple mobile gardening crews, ensuring productivity, efficiency and consistent service standards across all sites.
n
Provide hands-on leadership through regular site visits, coaching, mentoring and practical support to assist team members in developing their skills and achieving performance expectations.
n
Work closely with the Operations Manager to monitor contract delivery, review completed works, identify additional service opportunities and provide recommendations for enhancement or variation quotations.
n
Coordinate the maintenance, servicing and repair of equipment, ensuring tools are operational, compliant and exchanged with the workshop as required.
n
Review and approve daily timesheets, leave requests and workforce records, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
n
Manage employee performance through clear communication, regular feedback and coaching.
n
Maintain strong communication with field staff, management and internal stakeholders using verbal communication, email,



mobile applications and other business systems.
n
Utilise Microsoft Office applications and company software to complete reporting, scheduling, documentation and operational administration.
n
Report directly to the Operations Manager, providing regular updates on team performance, operational requirements, safety, quality and client outcomes.
n
About You
n
Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with demonstrated ability to motivate and develop team members.
n
Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens.
n
Manual Drivers' license
n
White Card or willingness to obtain
n
Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain
n
National Police Check, or willingness to obtain.
