Job Description
You'll oversee the end-to-end production and packing of whole and processed vegetables, ensuring our products are processed and packed efficiently, safely and to the quality standards expected by our customers and growers.

This is a hands-on leadership role coordinating people, plant and production schedules while maintaining a solid focus on safety, food quality, productivity and profitability.
n
Working closely with the Operations Manager you'll lead a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and food safety, while identifying opportunities to reduce waste and maximise operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
n
Lead and coordinate daily production and packing operations, including people, plant, processes and packaging.
n
Ensure products meet customers' quality and delivery requirements.
n
Manage production schedules and labour requirements, adjusting resources to optimise productivity and meet changing customer orders.
n
Lead the implementation of WHS, food safety, hygiene and quality standards across the production team.
n
Monitor operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement and implement initiatives to reduce waste and downtime.
n
Lead, support and develop production team members, including training support and performance feedback.
n
About You
n
You will lead from the front as a practical and organised production manager who enjoys being close to the operation and making things happen.
n
You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, leading people and solving problems while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and performance.
n
To Be Successful You Will Have:
n
3 to 5 years' experience in a production supervisor, production manager or similar operational leadership role.
n
Strong planning, scheduling and time management skills.
n
Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage a diverse team.
n
A strong understanding of workplace safety, quality and food safety responsibilities.
n
A strong work ethic and a practical approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
n
Ability to work independently, follow through on priorities and make sound decisions in a busy factory.
n
Preferred (Not essential)
n
Experience identifying, analysing and improving production processes.
n
Competent with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
