We are looking for a special kind of person - a St Vincent's kind of person. Someone who puts compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.

As a Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant (also known as Diversional therapist - Recreational Officer), you will work under Leisure & lifestyle coordinator to promote, maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of residents.
n
You will be assisting team in the development of a range of programs to suit the individual needs and preferences of residents within households.
n

This is a permanent part time opportunity requiring availability to work 8 days per fortnight. Successful candidates must be able to commit to permanent roster, Monday to Thursday.

Things that work for us:

Availability for part-time permanent employment (minimum four days per week as per above)
n
Certificate in Leisure & Lifestyle or Diversional Therapy.
n
Other relevant certificate in aged care may be acceptable.
n
Experience in an aged care home, implementing Leisure & Lifestyle programs including working with people with dementia
n
Good team work
n
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
n
Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
n
Experience with Autumn Care (or similar software) with ability to maintain excellent records
n
NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) is mandatory
n
