Smith & Co are proud to partner with a leading provider of traffic signal installation, maintenance, and electrical infrastructure services across Queensland. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Leading Hand to join their team based in Ormeau.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll lead small crews across traffic signal maintenance, fault finding, and civil construction electrical projects while mentoring apprentices and junior electricians.

About the Role
n
As an Electrical Leading Hand, you will:
n
n
Lead and supervise electrical field crews
n
Perform traffic signal maintenance and fault-finding activities
n
Support civil construction and electrical infrastructure projects
n
Coordinate daily site activities and ensure works are completed safely and efficiently
n
Mentor apprentices and developing electricians
n
Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and compliance
n
n

What We're Looking For Essential Experience
n
n
Proven experience in traffic signal maintenance and fault finding
n
Strong background in civil construction electrical works
n
Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on
n
Capable of working autonomously and making sound decisions in the field
n
Robust commitment to safety and problem solving
n
n
Highly Regarded
n
n
Energy Queensland / Energex authorisations
n
LV Switching Officer certification
n
Switch Sheet Writer accreditation
n
n
