Hunter Manning is recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accountant on behalf of our client, who are seeking a detail-oriented finance professional to support their accounting function for an ongoing temporary chance with potential to become permanent for the successful applicant.
Key Responsibilities
Complete general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
Support month-end close, including journals, accruals and prepayments
Assist with Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, payment runs and supplier reconciliations
Assist with Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, allocations and account reconciliations
Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare and lodge BAS and other statutory reporting requirements
Maintain the fixed asset register and process depreciation journals
Investigate and resolve AP, AR and GL variances
Provide general accounting support,
including financial reporting and audit requirements

Requirements
CPA/CA qualified, part-qualified, or actively studying towards
Proven experience in an AP/AR or accounts role, with exposure to month-end processes
Robust Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, SUMIFS)
High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with reconciliations
Clear communication skills for liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
