VEGA HSE is currently working with an international mechanical sub contractor who, due to a recent tender win, are looking to appoint an HSE advisor for a large industrial warehouse fit out in Melbourne's western suburbs.

Reporting to the Project Manager, this is a “boots on the ground" safety role with the successful candidate expected to be responsible for all aspects of safety at site level. You will be expected to liaise with site managers, contractors and the end clients own safety team and ultimately influence the safety culture across the site.

Along with regular site walks and staff interaction you will also be responsible for toolbox talks / site inductions; method statement reviews and compliance; plant inspection and the event of an incident, full investigation and follow up report.

To apply for this role you must a minimum qualification of cert IV in workplace health and safety and have relevant construction experience.

This is a long term 12 month + contract role. A competitive daily rate will be awarded to the successful candidate.
