Accounts Payable Officer

Naval Base | Full time Contract | Engineering & Construction

Alltype Engineering is a well-established Western Australian engineering company delivering fabrication, installation and maintenance services across the Oil & Gas, Water, Power Generation, Infrastructure, Mining, Resources, Utilities, Petrochemical and Defence sectors.

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team at our Naval Base office.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and supporting the wider finance function.

Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain supplier accounts
Process creditor applications
Manage and action accounts payable emails
Receipt goods in the accounting system
Match, batch and accurately code supplier invoices
Process creditor payment runs
Reconcile creditor statements
Complete credit card reconciliations
Investigate outstanding invoices and resolve queries
Escalate discrepancies where required
Maintain accurate financial records

About You

To be successful, you will have:




Minimum 1 -2 years' experience in Accounts Payable or transactional accounting
Accounting/Bookkeeping qualification or relevant experience
Experience in construction, engineering or manufacturing highly regarded
Pronto experience highly regarded
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Robust communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
A positive, proactive and can-do attitude
