The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity now exists for an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join the firm's Brisbane insurance team.
n
You'll work with highly experienced senior practitioners on a varied portfolio of public liability and general liability claims, acting for major insurers, corporate insureds and other sophisticated clients.
n
The role offers a strong mix of autonomy, client contact, technically interesting matters and opportunities to mentor more junior lawyers.
n
The work will include:
n

Complex public liability claims
n
Personal injury and property damage matters
n
Multi-party liability disputes
n
High-value and catastrophic injury claims
n
Indemnity and coverage issues
n
Claims involving construction,
property and other commercial settings
n
Mediations, negotiations and court proceedings
n
n
About You
n
n
Strong experience in defendant insurance, particularly public liability
n
Senior Associate or Special Counsel level experience
n
Excellent technical, drafting and analytical skills
n
Strong client relationship and stakeholder management capability
n
A practical, commercially focused approach to claims
n
An interest in mentoring and developing junior lawyers
n
Cooperative, approachable and solutions-focused
