About the Role
n
As a Family Connections Support Worker, you'll provide practical, engaging and family-focused support across the Cowra region. No two days will be the same. You'll have the opportunity to work directly with families and the community through:

Individual family support
n
Supported playgroups
n
Parent and peer support groups
n
Parent education and information sessions
n
School holiday activities
n
Community events and engagement activities
n
Connecting families with services, resources and their local community
n
n




You'll build genuine relationships, identify opportunities for families to overcome challenges and help create positive experiences and stronger connections within the community.
n
About You
n
We're looking for someone who is compassionate, confident and community-minded, with the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. You'll bring:
n
n
Experience in Children's Services, Community Services or a similar human services environment
n
Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills
n
The ability to advocate, negotiate and build effective community networksConfidence working independently while contributing positively to a team
n
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
A genuine commitment to supporting children and families to achieve positive outcomes
n
A willingness to travel as required
n
Current Australian Driver Licence
n
Current First Aid and CPR certificates
n
NSW Working with Children Check
n
NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
Ability to successfully obtain a National Criminal History Check
n
n
The Chance
n
This is a fixed-term, part-time position of 18 hours per week, providing parental leave backfill until 14 March ****.
n
