n Approx. 22.5 hours per week | Up to 1 day WFH

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant seeking a genuine part-time role with meaningful responsibility and school-hour flexibility.
n
Working directly with the Founder of a privately owned business, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while helping bring greater financial structure, discipline and governance to the business.
n
This is a hands-on role combining accounting, bookkeeping, cash-flow management and commercial analysis.
n
The Role
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping and reconciliations
n
Accounts payable and receivable
n
Payroll, superannuation, BAS and GST
n
Cash-flow forecasting and management
n
Managing the timing and prioritisation of supplier payments
n
Month-end and management accounts
n
Working-capital management across debtors, creditors and inventory
n
Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
n
Financial analysis of supply chain, purchasing and inventory
n
Analysis of workshop productivity, labour utilisation and efficiency
n
Establishing appropriate financial controls, processes and reporting disciplines
n
Developing and monitoring practical financial and operational KPIs
n
Working directly with the Founder to identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement
n

About You
n
You will be a qualified or experienced accountant who is equally comfortable doing the transactional work and analysing business performance.




n
Ideally, you will have:
n
n
Accounting/Commerce qualifications, with CA/CPA highly regarded
n
Strong bookkeeping and management accounting experience
n
Strong cash-flow and working-capital capability
n
Payroll and compliance experience
n
Advanced Excel skills and strong Microsoft 365 capability, including Word and Teams
n
A good understanding of AI and its practical application in the workplace
n
Confidence using technology and AI tools to improve reporting, analysis, administration and productivity
n
A structured and commercially minded approach
n
The ability to establish and maintain solid financial disciplines and controlsThe confidence to work autonomously and directly with the Founder
n
Experience within an owner-led SME, automotive, workshop, manufacturing, distribution or inventory-based business would be advantageous.

The Opportunity
n
This role has deliberately been structured around school hours and would suit an experienced accountant looking for flexibility without giving up meaningful responsibility.
n
You'll work closely with the Founder, have visibility across the entire business and play an important role in strengthening its financial management, controls, governance and commercial decision-making.
n
Monday-Friday, 10:00am-2:30pm, based in Seaford with up to one day per week working from home.
