This established multinational organisation operates across a number of international jurisdictions and is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join the team on an initial 6 month contract.

Working within a well established finance function, this role will provide broad exposure across Australian and international tax matters, with an immediate focus on audit support, GST and tax effect accounting.

The Role
n
Reporting into the senior finance team, your responsibilities will include:
n

Supporting an Australian tax audit, with a focus on GST and tax effect accounting
n
Preparing and reviewing tax effect accounting across multiple entities
n
Supervising ongoing Australian GST returns and compliance
n
Completing GST reconciliations, including historical reconciliation work following a system implementation
n
Reviewing tax lodgements and work prepared by international finance teams
n
Supporting broader tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions
n

About You
n
n
Senior Accountant level experience with robust corporate tax knowledge
n
Strong GST and tax effect accounting experience
n
Previous experience within a corporate tax environment or Big 4 tax
n
Comfortable working across multiple entities and jurisdictions
n
Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
n
International tax exposure would be highly regarded
n
Confident reviewing work prepared by other finance teams and providing appropriate oversight
n
n
This role would suit an experienced tax professional who enjoys a hands on environment and is comfortable working across both detailed tax accounting and broader compliance requirements.
