Greystones Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Operator to join a well-established distribution operation based in the Melbourne Airport / Tullamarine area.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys being hands-on but also has the confidence and people skills to support and mentor others within the team.
n
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can think on their feet and is comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment where priorities can change throughout the day.
n
The Role
n
Working as part of an established warehouse team, your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Forklift and reach operation
n
Receiving, picking, packing and dispatching goods
n
General warehouse and distribution duties
n
Prioritising daily workloads and meeting operational deadlines
n
Working safely and efficiently within established procedures
n
Using warehouse and computer-based systems
n
Assisting and supporting other team members
n
Helping maintain a positive, productive and team-focused workplace
n
Identifying and resolving day-to-day operational issues
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
n
n
A current Australian forklift licence
n
Demonstrated reach forklift experience
n




Previous experience within a warehouse or distribution environment
n
Strong time-management and organisational skills
n
The ability to prioritise work without needing constant supervision
n
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
n
Confidence learning and using IT and warehouse systems
n
Solid communication and people skills
n
The ability to mentor, lead and work alongside other team members
n
A good level of physical fitness and a willingness to get involved in hands-on work
n
A positive attitude and genuine team-player mentality
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
This role will suit someone who is more than simply a forklift operator.
n
You may already be an experienced Warehouse Operator, Senior Storeperson or 2IC who enjoys taking responsibility and helping the wider team succeed.
n
Attitude and cultural fit are important. We are looking for someone reliable, practical and hardworking who communicates well, learns quickly and is prepared to contribute wherever needed.
