An exciting opportunity has come up for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a leading financial services organisation within its Life Insurance technology function.
n
This is a varied BA role supporting the broader retail insurance business, with a strong focus on improving processes, enhancing systems and finding smarter ways of working. You'll work across a range of smaller initiatives and BAU improvements rather than being tied to one large project, so it's a great fit for someone who enjoys variety and likes to see things through from idea to delivery.
n
The role You'll be working closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand what's happening today, identify opportunities for improvement and turn those into practical solutions.
n
The role will involve:
n
n
Leading end to end requirements analysis across system enhancements, product changes, regulatory requirements and business improvements
n
Managing multiple pieces of work at once and confidently moving between priorities
n
Working closely with stakeholders across Product, Operations, Technology, Actuarial and Engineering
n
Identifying opportunities to simplify, automate and improve manual or repetitive processes
n
Supporting Salesforce enhancements, configuration changes and integrations
n
Developing user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps,



functional requirements and data mappings
n
Facilitating workshops and working through requirements with business and technical SMEs
n
Supporting UAT, testing, release readiness and post release activities
n
Getting involved in system issues and root cause analysis where required
n
Looking at practical opportunities to use automation and AI to improve efficiency and customer outcomes
n
n
About you
n
We're looking for a Senior BA who is confident, pragmatic and comfortable operating in a busy BAU environment.
n
You'll ideally bring
n
n
5+ years' experience as a Senior Business Analyst within the Australian Life Insurance industry
n
Robust understanding of the Life Insurance customer and policy lifecycle
n
Experience across areas such as policy servicing, product enhancements, claims, retention, cancellations, pricing or billing
n
Strong Salesforce experience, ideally within Life Insurance or Financial Services
n
Experience managing multiple concurrent pieces of work and changing priorities
n
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
n
The ability to quickly understand a problem, work out what needs to happen and take ownership of getting it moving
n
A genuine interest in process improvement, automation and emerging AI capabilities
n
Experience working in Agile environments
n
n
