Registered Nurse for Dermatology practice

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join us at Sydney Dermatology Group in our Chatswood and Sydney CBD rooms.
n
This is a casual position that offers flexibility and the chance to work in a specialised dermatology setting. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting our Dermatologists, and ensuring a positive experience for patients attending our practice. This position is integral to maintaining the standards of care and professionalism that our patients expect from Sydney Dermatology Group.

Key responsibilities
n
Providing direct patient care including wound care, dressing changes, and post-procedure support
n
Assisting dermatologists during clinical procedures and treatments, including biopsy and surgical procedures
n
Administering Dermatological treatments such as Narrowband UVB and Photodynamic therapy.
n
Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment in accordance with infection control standards
n
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by dermatologists
n
Providing patient education regarding skincare, treatment aftercare, and wound management
n
Maintaining accurate and timely patient records and documentation
n




Responding to patient enquiries and concerns with compassion and professionalism
n
Adhering to all relevant legislative requirements, policies and procedures including infection prevention and control protocols
n
Contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff
n
What we're looking for
n
Current APRHA Registered Nurse (Bachelor of Nursing).
n
Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control practices and workplace health and safety standards
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, colleagues and dermatologists
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced clinical environment
n
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate patient records
n
Physical capability to perform nursing duties, including standing for extended periods
n
Previous experience in dermatology or a surgical setting (desirable)
n
Eligibility to work in Australia (Australian citizenship or Permanent residency)
n
Flexibility and reliability in a casual working arrangement
n
