Intellectual Property and Technology Senior Associate / Special Counsel

Join our client's well-established and growing practice that works across a broad range of intellectual property and technology matters.
n
The IP and Technology team focuses on front end deals involving technology and IP transactions, commercialisation and innovation for both public and private sector clients.
n
The work mix will be wide-ranging and challenging, covering mostly front end matters, some regulatory and commercial advice. The team are currently working on:
n
n
Drafting of complex contracts to advising on the application of and compliance with Australia's intellectual property, data, franchising and information security laws.
n
IT, IP and communications including advising on procurement and outsourcing of software, systems, communications, and ICT services and IP related issues in commercial contracts.
n
Helping fintech clients with strategic partnership agreements, merchant acquiring agreements, data management, and privacy issues.
n
Privacy matters including advising on cyber security, privacy notices and policies, marketing, data management, and off-shoring.
n

This is an ideal chance to be involved in a range of interesting and intellectually stimulating matters, and to work alongside a talented team of IP/T Commercial Contracting Lawyers.

We are keen to brief Lawyers with 4+ Years PAE with backgrounds from specialist firms, national, international or top tier law firms. The successful candidate could also bring skills from an in-house environment. Corporate and Commercial backgrounds with IP/T experience will be highly regarded.
