Inspect and prepare surfaces of aircraft panels/component surfaces
n
Removal of surface coatings and light corrosion from aircraft or aircraft components
n
Apply paints and specialty coatings via various methods (spraying, rolling and brushing)
n
Apply stencils, decals and aircraft specific markings, livery and registrations
n
Perform rectification work involving the preparation and painting of aircraft components
n
Apply specialised coatings to aircraft components in accordance with approved maintenance data
n
Planning and organising own aviation maintenance work activities as they apply to painting and finishing
n
Applying quality standards applicable to aviation maintenance processes as they apply to painting and finishing
n
Interpreting and using aviation maintenance technical data including manuals, drawings, and specifications as they apply to painting and finishing
n
Completion of aviation maintenance industry documentation as required by relevant Regulations and Quality procedures

Our team also has the opportunity to work not only on Jetstar fleet, but customer aircraft - A******, B787 and A320 Freighter. Our Melbourne Precinct is the proud home for our Apprentice Program.

About the Candidate
n
n
At least 2 years' experience in automotive or aircraft painting preferred
n
Similar experience in other aviation industry position or in related industry
n
Ability to demonstrate sound knowledge of quality assurance procedures (Experience with aviation procedures preferred)
n
Have excellent time management skills and a proven ability to effectively manage self and others
n
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
n
Have or able to apply for ASIC card
n
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
n
Hold a valid driving licence and ability to obtain an Airside Drivers Licence
n

Remuneration on offer: Please note all Jetstar Painters in Australia are paid under the Jetstar Airways Engineering & Maintenance Enterprise Agreement **** at a base rate of $83,236.
