Chartered Accountant | Business Services & Advisory

This is an opportunity for a Accountant who wants to use their technical training beyond pure compliance and take a broader role in supporting clients, solving problems and providing meaningful financial advice.
n
Working within an established public practice team, you'll manage a diverse portfolio of clients and take ownership of work across financial reporting, taxation, structuring and business advisory.
n
The role is suited to someone who is technically capable, commercially aware and confident working directly with business owners and senior stakeholders.
n
Responsibilities
n
n
Preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
n
Managing complex taxation matters including GST, CGT, FBT and Division 7A
n
Providing tax planning and year-end advisory support
n
Preparing management reports, cash flow analysis and financial insights for clients
n
Supporting business structuring, entity reviews and broader commercial matters
n
Working directly with business owners to understand performance, risks and future priorities
n
Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, cash flow and financial management
n
Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
n
Reviewing work prepared by junior and intermediate accountants
n
Providing technical guidance and supporting the development of less experienced team members
n
Working closely with Managers and Partners on complex client matters and advisory engagements
n
Maintaining strong technical standards across compliance, reporting and client delivery
n

About You
n
n
A degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
n




Solid experience within Australian public practice
n
Strong technical capability across financial reporting and taxation
n
Experience managing or taking significant ownership of a client portfolio
n
Strong knowledge of Australian tax and compliance requirements
n
Confidence discussing financial matters directly with clients
n
Experience with Xero, MYOB and cloud-based accounting platforms
n
The ability to review work and provide guidance to junior team members
n
Strong commercial judgement and the ability to look beyond the immediate compliance requirement
n
Clear communication skills and a practical, client-focused approach
n
