Community Support Worker

Core Responsibilities
Personal care: Help with showering, dressing, grooming, and taking medicine.
Household help: Assist with cooking, cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping.
Community access: Drive clients to appointments, social events, or local activities.
Skill building: Teach daily living tasks like budgeting and meal prep to boost independence.
Record keeping: Write shift notes and track client progress.

Required Skills and Qualities
Patient, kind, and empathetic.
Valuable at talking and listening.
Able to respect client privacy and choices.

Qualifications and Clearances
Often need a Certificate III in Community Services,Disability or Age Care .
Valid police check
Working with children check ( Blue Card)
Screening (such as an NDIS Worker Screening Check if working in disability support).
A driver's license and reliable vehicle are frequently required.
First Aid and CPR certification

Pay: From $33.88 per hour
