At Slipstream Cyber, we're helping Australian organisations stay ahead of an ever-evolving threat landscape. Our Security Operations Centre operates 24x7, providing threat detection, incident response and cyber defence services to customers across the country.

We're looking for an experienced Team Lead - Security Operations to lead our frontline SOC team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance people leadership with operational responsibility; developing analysts, managing SOC operations, leading major incidents and participating in the on-call roster when required.

What You'll Do:
n

Lead, coach and develop a high-performing SOC team.
n
Manage a 24x7 Security Operations Centre, including shift coverage, workforce planning and operational readiness.
n
Lead major incident response activities and provide escalation support for complex security events.
n
Participate in the on-call roster and provide leadership during critical incidents.
n
Drive threat detection, threat hunting, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Build team capability through mentoring, certifications and career development.
n
Partner with customers and stakeholders to deliver exceptional security outcomes.
n
Use reporting and metrics to improve performance, efficiency and service delivery.
n

What You'll Bring:
n
n
Experience leading a Security Operations Centre (SOC)



or Cyber Defence team in a 24x7 environment.
n
Strong hands-on experience across incident response, threat detection and security operations.
n
Proven ability to lead analysts through high-pressure incidents, escalations and operational challenges.
n
Experience managing shift rosters, team performance, service delivery and on-call responsibilities.
n
Solid knowledge of SIEM platforms, threat intelligence and security monitoring tools.
n
Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
n
Working knowledge of security frameworks including NIST, ISO ***** and MITRE ATT&CK.;
n
Applicants must be Australian citizens to be eligible for this role.

Certifications Required:

n
Microsoft Security Operations Analyst
n
Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator Associate
n
Splunk Power User
n
n
Additional certifications such as Security+, CySA+, MITRE ATT&CK; Defender, CrowdStrike or Netskope are highly regarded.
