Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, switched-on Kitchen All-Rounder / Cook to join our busy bakery team in Burpengary.
n
This is a kitchen-focused, hands-on role for someone with proven cooking experience who can work quickly, stay organised, and produce quality food in a quick-paced environment. You will need to take initiative, follow daily production routines, and be comfortable working independently as well as within a team.
n
Casual, part time fuand leading to full-time work is available, with 30+ hours per week available for the right person.

About the role
n
n
Preparing and cooking pies, sausage rolls, cakes, cookies, slices.
n
Preparing cakes, slices and other bakery products as required.
n
Completing food prep, portioning, stock rotation and daily production tasks.
n
Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and operating to food-safety standards.
n
Working efficiently through busy morning preparation and service periods.
n
Assisting with general bakery and kitchen duties as required.
n
Helping with front-of-house service on selected shifts, including serving customers and setting up the shop.
n
n
You must be available to work three kitchen weekday shifts per week commencing at 4:00am.



You will also be offered availability on other days for front-of-house service shifts.

About you

Proven cooking or commercial-kitchen experience is essential.
n
You are switched on, reliable and punctual.
n
You can work fast without compromising food quality, presentation or cleanliness.
n
You are comfortable with early starts, including 4:00am kitchen shifts.
n
You can follow systems, use initiative and stay on top of multiple tasks.
n
You work well in a busy team environment and communicate clearly.
n
You take pride in maintaining a clean, well-organised workspace.
n
Barista or coffee-making skills are highly regarded and will be strongly considered.
n
Bakery, café or food-production experience is an advantage.
