Food Production Assistant - Casual | Tue-Thu

Join a small, established food manufacturing team in a hands-on role involving food production, packing, cleaning and some operation of production equipment following training.
n
This is a genuinely active, hands-on role. You will be on your feet and physically working throughout the shift in a fast-paced production setting.

Key responsibilities
n

Food production and packing
n
Handling ingredients and finished products
n
Cleaning production areas and equipment
n
Operating production equipment and machinery following training
n
Following food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
n
Regular manual handling, including lifting and handling items weighing up to 25kg, using appropriate equipment and safe work procedures where required
n
Working efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
n

About you
n

Reliable and punctual
n
Comfortable with active, physical work and able to safely perform the manual handling requirements of the role
n
Able to follow instructions and established procedures
n
High standards of personal hygiene and food safety
n
Comfortable learning to operate production equipment and machinery
n
Able to work efficiently as part of a small team
n
Previous food manufacturing, factory, production or packing experience is an advantage but not essential
n
Steel-capped safety shoes are required for ongoing work
n
n
Usual shift times: Approximately 6:30am-3:00pm
n
Usual production days: Tues, Wed, Thur - shifts offered according to production requirements.
