Mighty Me Early Learning Centre
New South Wales
Job Description
Centre Director | Mighty Me Early Learning Centre
n
Sefton, Sydney NSW | Full-time | Highly Competitive Salary
n
A beautiful centre. A remarkable team. The freedom to lead it.
n
Mighty Me Early Learning Centre is looking for an exceptional Centre Director to lead our boutique 28-place service in Sefton.
n
Mighty Me was founded by a husband-and-wife team with professional backgrounds in medicine and paediatric speech pathology, and a shared belief that the first five years of a child's life deserve extraordinary care, education and investment.
n
We have created something special: a beautifully renovated, intimate early learning environment with excellent resources, a strong team and a genuine commitment to quality.
n
We're now looking for a Director who wants to make it their own.
n
The Opportunity
n
This is a rare chance to lead a boutique 28-place centre with the resources of a much larger organisation, while retaining the warmth and relationships of a small service.
n
You'll know every child.
n
You'll know every family.
n
You'll know your educators - their strengths, their ambitions and where you can help them grow.
n
And you'll have the autonomy, budget and support to turn great ideas into reality.
n
As Centre Director, you'll have genuine ownership of the culture, educational quality and day-to-day leadership of Mighty Me.
n
You'll work directly with engaged Approved Providers who value expertise, move quickly on good ideas and believe that exceptional early education requires exceptional investment in its people.
n
What Makes Mighty Me Special?
n
28 Places. By Design.
n
It allows us to build genuine relationships, maintain exceptional standards and create the kind of community where children, families and educators feel known.
n
A Beautiful Place to Work
n
Our Sefton centre has been thoughtfully and extensively renovated, creating beautiful indoor and outdoor environments designed for learning, exploration and connection.
n
We believe the environment our educators work in matters too.
n
A Responsible Investment in Quality
n
Quality isn't expected on a shoestring.
n
You'll have strong operational, educational and resource budgets and direct access to decision-makers when you see an opportunity to make the centre better.
n
Career development With Purpose
n
Learning is part of the culture at Mighty Me.
n
We invest meaningfully in professional development, external training, conferences and leadership development - for you and the educators you lead.
n
Something Genuinely Different
n
With foundations in medicine and paediatric speech pathology,
Mighty Me brings a unique perspective to early childhood education.
n
Our educational approach is informed by contemporary research, with a strong focus on exceptional learning experiences, meaningful educator-child interactions and nurturing children's curiosity, confidence and love of learning.
n
Our educators also benefit from access to professional expertise and learning opportunities rarely integrated into an early learning service.
n
Leadership With Influence
n
You won't be several layers removed from the people making decisions.
n
You'll work directly with the owners, have a genuine voice in the direction of the service and be trusted to exercise your professional judgement.
n
Your ideas won't disappear into an inbox.
n
What You'll Lead
n
You'll take overall leadership of the Sefton service, including:
n
Inspiring, mentoring and developing a high-performing team.
n
Building a culture where excellent educators want to stay and grow.
n
Creating an exceptional experience for children and families.
n
Driving educational quality and meaningful continuous improvement.
n
Maintaining excellent NQF, NQS, EYLF and regulatory standards.
n
Leading staffing, rostering, enrolments, budgets and centre operations.
n
Building strong relationships with families and the local community.
n
Supporting professional development and emerging leaders within your team.
n
Working directly with the Approved Providers on the continued development of Mighty Me.
n
We want you to bring your experience to the role — not simply inherit someone else's way of doing things.
n
What You'll Get From Us
n
Highly competitive, above-award remuneration
n We want to attract an exceptional Director and recognise exceptional performance.
n
Genuine autonomy
n The trust and authority to lead your service well.
n
Strong budgets and excellent resources
n The ability to invest in your environment, educators and educational program.
n
Generous professional development
n A meaningful PD budget, external learning opportunities and investment in your leadership.
n
Accessible and engaged owners
n Direct relationships with Approved Providers who understand professional leadership and are invested in your success.
n
A boutique 28-place environment
n The opportunity to lead while remaining genuinely connected to children, families and educators.
n
A beautifully renovated centre
n A thoughtfully created environment you'll be proud to welcome families into each morning.
n
Allied-health expertise
n Unique access to professional knowledge in paediatric speech pathology, communication and child development.
n
Career progression
n Mighty Me is growing, and we want our best leaders to grow with us.
n
Who We're Looking For
n
We're looking for someone who is excellent with people and serious about quality.
n
A leader who can set high expectations while creating a workplace people genuinely enjoy being part of.
n
Someone educators respect, families trust and children are delighted to see.
n
You'll bring strong early childhood leadership experience, sound knowledge of the NQF, NQS and EYLF, excellent organisational skills and an ACECQA-approved qualification.
n
You'll also hold the required NSW Working With Children Check, First Aid and Child Protection qualifications.
n
But we're interested in more than what's written on your CV.
n
We're interested in how you lead, what you believe great early education looks like, and what you could build with the right support behind you.
n
Build Something You're Proud Of
n
For the right person, this isn't simply another Centre Director role.
n
It's the opportunity to lead a beautiful boutique service with real autonomy, excellent resources, significant investment in your development and owners who genuinely care about what you're trying to achieve.
n
We want you to come to work excited about your centre.
n
To build a team you're proud to lead.
n
To know your families.
n
To watch your educators grow.
n
And, years from now, to be able to look at Mighty Me and know:
n
I helped build this.
n
We'd love to hear from you.
n
Your application will include the following questions:
n
n
Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
