UHY Haines Norton is seeking an experienced Business Services Senior Accountant / Supervisor to join our Sydney-based team.
n
This is a senior role suited to someone with a minimum of 4 years' business services experience in an Australian Chartered Accounting or CPA firm. Ideally, you will have previously managed your own client portfolio and have experience mentoring, supervising and delegating work to junior team members.

About the Role
n
As a Business Services Senior Accountant / Supervisor, you will work directly with partners and clients to provide business management, compliance and advisory services. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience across all aspects of business services work.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for all entity types, including trusts, companies, partnerships and individuals
n
Preparing activity statements
n
Preparing other statutory returns, including Fringe Benefits Tax, Payroll Tax and Land Tax
n
Preparing management reports
n
Liaising with the ATO and other government agencies
n
Assisting with tax planning and tax advisory projects
n




Working with accounting software including Xero and MYOB
n
Identifying, researching and resolving issues associated with client work
n
Liaising with clients in a confident and skilled manner
n
Reviewing work and supervising, mentoring and delegating tasks to junior staff
n

Qualifications and Experience
n
n
A minimum of 4 years' experience in an Australian Chartered Accounting or CPA firm
n
A Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent
n
CA or CPA qualification
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
Strong problem-solving skills
n
Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to quality client service
n
The ability to build and maintain positive client and team relationships
n
A proactive, highly motivated and self-starting approach
n
A genuine desire to learn, grow and further develop their career
