Job Description
The Team
n
Work across 2 hospital sites, North West Regional Hospital and Mersey Community Hospital to provide inpatient, rehabilitation and adult outpatient speech pathology services.
n
The Role
n Assess and provide intervention to adult inpatients and outpatients with swallowing and communication difficulties.
n
Grow and develop clinical skills through individual and group supervision and the provision of a Professional Development allowance.
n
Contribute to quality assurance projects focused on service improvement.
n
You will need
n
n
Demonstrated sound knowledge of current Speech Pathology practice. Demonstrated ability to competently assess and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in adults and children.
n
Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate effective therapy programmes with minimal supervision.
n
Previous experience in a hospital setting or satisfactory undergraduate experience.

n Fixed term part time, day worker position, working ***** hours per fortnight, as soon as possible until 1 September ****
n

Salary
n $81,614 to $117,074 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
n
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement, Allied Health Qualified, Level 1-2.

Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by Speech Pathology Australia
n
Eligible for membership with the Speech Pathology Australia
n
Or where regulatory requirements exist NDIS Q&S; Commission Provider Registration Requirements Full member of

Speech Pathology Australia

Current Working with Children Registration
