We’re looking for a confident, friendly Sales Consultant to join our team at Mackay Harbour, selling and hiring shipping containers to customers across a wide range of industries.
This is an office-based role, perfect for someone who loves talking to people, enjoys the buzz of making a sale and knows the value of good follow-up.
What you’ll be doing
No two enquiries are quite the same. One minute you might be helping someone organise a container for storage, the next you could be quoting a business on multiple units.
Your day will include:
Selling and hiring new and used shipping containers
Managing inbound phone and online enquiries
Preparing quotes and following up opportunities
Helping customers find the right solution for what they need
Building strong relationships with current and existing customers
Coordinating with our transport, depot and operations teams
Keeping CRM records and follow-ups up to date
Working towards individual and team sales targets
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need to know everything about shipping containers on day one — we can teach you that.
What we do want is someone who:
Has strong previous sales experience
Is confident on the phone and enjoys talking to customers
Has a natural ability to build rapport
Loves following up and closing a deal
Is organised, reliable and comfortable juggling multiple enquiries
Has positive computer skills
Brings a positive attitude and works well as part of a team
Experience in shipping containers, hire, transport, logistics, construction or industrial sales would be a bonus, but it’s certainly not essential.
