About the Role

Elan Energy Matrix is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the safe and reliable operation of our tyre recycling and pyrolysis facility in Welshpool.

This hands-on role combines fabrication, MIG welding and fixed plant maintenance, helping to maintain equipment reliability, minimise downtime and support plant performance.

Roster: 5 Days On / 9 Days Off | 4 Nights On / 10 Days Off

Key Responsibilities
Carry out plant maintenance, repairs and inspections.
Fault-find and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Perform MIG welding, fabrication and structural repairs.
Read and interpret technical drawings.
Support shutdowns and maintenance projects.
Maintain a safe, clean and organised work workplace.
Work closely with operations personnel to support plant performance.

Experience & Qualifications




Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding).
Experience in fabrication, MIG welding and fixed plant maintenance.
Ability to read technical drawings.
Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to safety and quality.
Forklift (LF), Confined Space or First Aid certification.
Experience in manufacturing, recycling or processing environments.
Experience with maintenance systems such as MEX.
