Kitchen Hands | Food Service Assistants | Catering Attendants

Your Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Hand, Food Service Assistant or Catering Attendant, your responsibilities may include:
Setting up and delivering food and drink trolleys
Preparing and plating meals, including texture-modified foods and fluids
Preparing fresh sandwiches, salads and snacks
Recording food temperatures and maintaining food safety standards
Washing dishes and maintaining clean and hygienic kitchen areas
Following infection control and food hygiene procedures
Working with modified diets in accordance with IDDSI guidelines
Assisting with meal service and general kitchen duties as required

What We're Looking For
Minimum 6 months' experience in a Kitchen Hand, Food Service Assistant, Catering Attendant or similar food services role within an Aged Care or Hospital workplace
Knowledge and experience with modified diets and IDDSI guidelines
Strong understanding of food safety,



hygiene and infection control requirements
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Current National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months)
Current Working With Children Check
Current COVID-19 vaccinations
2026 Influenza Vaccination
Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
Availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week
