About the Company:

We are delighted to be partnering with a leading Australian retail organisation to appoint an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to their team.

This is an excellent chance for an experienced payroll professional looking to take ownership of a complex Australia and New Zealand payroll workplace. Working closely with the Head of Payroll & HRIS, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll delivery while acting as a subject matter expert across awards, legislation and complex payroll matters.

About the Role:
Manage and review end-to-end payroll across Australia and Current Zealand, ensuring accurate and timely processing
Process complex payroll matters including terminations, ETPs, redundancies, executive pays and payment remediation
Manage key compliance requirements including Superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax,



STP and Workers Compensation
Act as the escalation point for complex payroll queries, award interpretation and compliance matters
Drive continuous improvement through payroll projects, system enhancements, testing and process automation

Skills and Experience:
Comprehensive end-to-end payroll experience within a complex or high-volume environment
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
Experience with large payroll systems such as Dayforce, Chris21, SAP, PayGlobal, Workday or UKG
Solid Excel, reconciliation and reporting skills with excellent attention to detail
Confident, proactive and solutions-focused, with solid stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
Experience processing New Zealand payroll is a benefit
