The Opportunity We are currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Storeperson to join a hardworking team in Newcastle.
n
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a combination of manual warehouse work and forklift operation, with approximately 50% manual handling and 50% forklift duties.
n
You will play an important role in ensuring customer orders are picked accurately, packed safely and dispatched on time, every day.
n
About the Role
n
Working across the warehouse and outdoor yard, your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Picking and packing PVC pipes, fittings, cartons and pallets
n
Manually handling PVC products and materials
n
Operating a forklift to move and position stock
n
Loading rigid local delivery trucks safely and accurately
n
Ensuring loads are secure, legal and match dispatch paperwork
n
Checking products are clean, tidy and presented to a high standard before dispatch
n
Maintaining accurate stock levels and identifying stock discrepancies
n
Replenishing and restocking warehouse locations
n
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse and yard
n
Following all workplace health and safety and quality assurance procedures
n

About the Role

n
Operating a forklift to move and position stock
n

Maintaining accurate stock levels and identifying stock discrepancies

Completing dispatch documentation accurately
n
Replenishing and restocking warehouse locations-

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse and yard
n
Following all workplace health and safety and quality assurance procedures
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
Experienced in a warehouse, stores, distribution or similar environment
n
Comfortable with regular manual handling and physical work
n
Experienced operating a forklift in a warehouse or yard environment
n
Safety-focused with a strong understanding of safe product handling
n
Reliable, punctual and committed to getting the job done correctly
n
Able to work effectively as part of a small team
