About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Trimmer to join our Brisbane team at our Banyo workshop. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing and replacing vehicle interior trims while executing custom vehicle modifications to support mobility access solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Install, repair and replace interior trims such as seats, linings, floor coverings and door trims.
Prepare current vehicle trim work according to drawings and sketches, remove old coverings and fittings, and take accurate measurements.
Select and cut fabric, vinyl and leather and sew pieces together using heavy-duty sewing machines.
Modify vehicles to accommodate wheelchair lifts, ramps and other specialised accessibility features.




Install specialised seats and restraint systems and assist with fitting associated controls and wiring for vehicle accessibility modifications, prioritising safety and comfort.
Perform rigorous testing of installed systems, diagnose and resolve issues during assembly, and ensure compliance with Australian safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of all vehicle modifications and installations.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure high standards of craftsmanship and project timelines are met.

Skills and Qualifications Required
Certificate III in Automotive and Marine Trimming Technology or an equivalent qualification, including two years of on the job training
Applicants without a formal qualification will be considered where they have at least three years of proven industry experience in automotive trimming.
Proficiency in using hand tools and specialised equipment related to vehicle trimming and assembly.

Pay: $75,000–$85,000 per year plus 12% superannuation
Work location: In person at Banyo workshop.
