About the Role

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide practical and personal support to residents while promoting their dignity, independence, safety and wellbeing.

Your responsibilities may include:
Assisting residents with personal care, hygiene, dressing and grooming
Administering medication in accordance with residents’ care plans and workplace procedures
Supporting residents with mobility, meals and daily living activities




Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and reporting any concerns or changes
Completing accurate progress notes and other required documentation
Providing companionship and emotional support
Following infection-control, manual-handling and workplace safety procedures
Working collaboratively with other care staff and management

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or an equivalent qualification)
A current Administration of Medication certificate
Previous experience administering medication in a care setting
Previous experience working as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role
Current First Aid and CPR certificates
Current National Police Check
Valid Australian working rights
Strong communication and documentation skills
A compassionate, reliable and qualified approach
Availability to work across a range of shifts, as required
