About the Chance
n
We are seeking experienced male candidates for Disability Support Worker roles, with a background in supporting people with mental health conditions and behaviours of concern. This role reports to an Area Manager who will support and train you to deliver exceptional, person-centred care.
n

About the Role
n
n
Providing in-home support with daily tasks such as meal preparation, personal care and medication administration.
n
Assisting with domestic duties around the home.
n
Supporting clients to engage with their community and participate in meaningful activities.
n
Enabling clients to work towards and achieve their personal goals.
n
n
About You
n
n
Minimum two years' experience in the disability sector.
n
Experience across a range of disabilities, including behaviours of concern, mental health and dementia.
n
Experience supporting clients with COPD, with preferred experience in portable oxygen administration.
n
Confidence with manual handling, including the use of a full-body hoist.
n
Certificate III in Disability (or similar or higher).
n
Solid communication skills.
n
Genuine empathy for the issues facing people with disability.
n
A strong belief in the principles of person-centred practice.
n
Highly organised, proactive and able to work well under pressure.
n
Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check.
n
NSW Driver's Licence (or similar) and own car preferred.
