We are seeking an experienced and motivated Housekeeping Team Leader to join our housekeeping leadership team and help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
n
Job Description
n
A unique part-time (minimum guarantee 30 hours per week) opportunity as Housekeeping Team Leader has become available in our housekeeping leadership team.
n
Some of the things you'll be doing include;
n
n
Lead, motivate and support housekeeping team members during daily operations.
n
Allocate room assignments and monitor productivity to ensure efficient workflow, opening and closing shifts.
n
Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure quality standards are consistently met to brand standards.
n
Assist with training, coaching, and onboarding of current team members.
n
Support the Housekeeping Manager with rostering, attendance management, and operational planning.
n
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
n




Manage guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns in a professional and timely manner.
n
Monitor stock levels and assist with linen, amenities, and chemical inventory control.
n
Support the team during peak periods and maintain a positive, high-performing work environment.
n
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and exceptional service.
n
Assisting the Housekeeping Management team in the day-to-day operations of all areas of the Housekeeping department.
n
Communicating on a daily basis with the Housekeeping Management team and respective departments to ensure an effective flow of communication.
n
Providing "on the job" training and inductions to support our energetic housekeeping team.
n
Briefing team members providing updates and key OHS updates.
n
Logging lost property; assisting with guests requests and resolving guest complaints.
n
n
Qualifications
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Previous housekeeping supervisory or team leadership experience within a hotel environment.
n
Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations and cleaning standards.
n
Experience working in large hotels or high-volume accommodation environments.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n




Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
n
A passion for hospitality and guest service.
n
Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
n
Ability to prioritise tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
n
Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
n
Full Working rights in Australia.
