From our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bayswater, we produce a diverse range of sustainable packaging solutions, including foil trays and containers, paperboard, pulp and eco-parchment products.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our maintenance team and play a key role in keeping our production operations running safely, efficiently and reliably.
n
About the Role
n
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and improving manufacturing equipment across our production facility. This hands-on role supports the ongoing reliability and performance of our machinery while helping minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency.
n
Working closely with Production, Engineering and other key stakeholders, you will contribute to a safe, productive and high-performing manufacturing environment.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Carry out repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance on presses, conveyors, stackers and associated production equipment.
n
Maintain plant and equipment across the manufacturing facility.
n
Perform short runs, assist with prototype, sample and development work as required.
n
Work collaboratively with production and other departments to ensure operational requirements are met.
n
Provide accurate maintenance information to support equipment servicing, repairs and upgrades.
n
Contribute to the development and implementation of improved maintenance methods and equipment solutions.
n
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and performance.
n
Participate in breakdown response activities and assist in minimising production downtime.
n
Work additional hours when required to support operational needs.
n

About You
n
You are a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter who enjoys solving mechanical problems, working with complex machinery and contributing to a solid team culture.
n
n
Trade qualification as a Fitter and Turner or equivalent mechanical trade.
n
3-5 years' experience maintaining equipment within a manufacturing or high-volume production environment.
n
Strong mechanical aptitude with a sound understanding of pneumatics, valves and industrial machinery.
n
Experience diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently and safely.
n
Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements, including machine guarding and safe manual handling practices.
n
Working knowledge of Quality Systems and HACCP procedures.
n
Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business.
n
A customer-focused approach and commitment to delivering excellent service to internal stakeholders.
n
A positive attitude and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
