APG is currently recruiting Hatchery Assistants for our client based in Devon Meadows, VIC. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for ongoing work with a supportive team, where you can learn new skills and receive full on-the-job training. No previous hatchery experience is required.

$***** per hour- Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday

Monday & Tuesday: 10:00am - 7:00pm
n
Friday & Saturday: 7:00am - 4:00pm

About the Role
n
Working as part of the hatchery team, you will assist with a range of daily operations. This is a hands-on and physically active role, where you will be on your feet for most of the shift and working at a steady pace.
n
Your duties will include:
n
n
Transferring and stacking egg trays onto trolleys
n




Monitoring the incubation process
n
Cleaning equipment, rooms and work areas
n
Operating tray washing equipment
n
Assisting with general hatchery duties
n
Following workplace health and safety procedures
n
Working as part of a team to ensure daily production targets are met
n
n
About You
n
n
Physically fit and comfortable working on their feet
n
Comfortable lifting up to 20kgs
n
Reliable and punctual
n
Comfortable working in a quick-paced environment
n
Able to follow instructions and workplace procedures
n
A good communicator
n
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
n
Willing to learn and take on new tasks
n
n
