Lead the workshop and keep operations moving

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic / Workshop Supervisor to lead a busy mechanical workshop supporting plant, machinery, vehicles and operational equipment across multiple sites.
n
This is a hands-on role suited to a qualified mechanic who enjoys variety, problem-solving and leading a team. You'll be responsible for keeping critical equipment safe, reliable and operational while coordinating day-to-day workshop activities.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Lead and supervise workshop and mechanical maintenance activities.
n
Service, diagnose and repair diesel and petrol engines, plant, machinery and vehicles.
n
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, transmission, pneumatic and electronic systems.
n
Interpret technical manuals and identify appropriate repair solutions.
n
Manage workshop stores, stock, spare parts and material requirements.
n
Coordinate maintenance and repairs with operational and trades teams.
n
Oversee preventative maintenance and accurate equipment/service records.
n
Coordinate mechanical support for operational and event requirements.
n
Maintain workshop safety, housekeeping and compliance with relevant WH&S; requirements.
n
Contribute to broader maintenance activities and continuous improvement.

About you
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Relevant mechanical trade qualifications.
n
Demonstrated experience in diesel, plant and vehicle maintenance.
n
Solid fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
n
Experience with hydraulics, transmissions and mechanical systems.
