An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Data Engineer to join a large, complex organisation and work across a mature enterprise data environment.

This is a hands-on role combining data engineering, data warehousing and Power BI development, with a strong focus on the Microsoft technology stack. You'll help enhance an established Data Warehouse environment, develop ETL solutions and deliver high-quality reporting and data solutions that support business decision-making.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Enhance and maintain a complex Data Warehouse environment
n
Develop ETL solutions using SQL Server, SSIS and Microsoft Fabric
n
Build engaging and effective Power BI reports
n
Design and implement semantic models and operational data stores
n
Analyse and improve ETL and reporting performance
n
Work closely with business SMEs to understand and refine data and reporting requirements
n
Provide technical advice across data engineering and business intelligence
n
n
What we're looking for




n
You'll be an experienced Data Engineer or BI Developer with a strong background in the Microsoft data and BI ecosystem.
n
Ideally, you'll bring:
n
n
Hands-on experience with SSIS, SSAS and/or SSRS
n
Experience with Microsoft Fabric
n
Solid ETL development, workflow and data mapping experience
n
Extensive Data Warehouse development experience
n
Understanding of conceptual, logical and physical data modelling
n
Experience translating business requirements into practical data and reporting solutions
n
n
