Your Role as Team Leader
n
As Team Leader Development Compliance, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our development services meet the highest standards of regulatory compliance. You will lead a dedicated team, navigating the political nuances of local council governance and applying your deep understanding of the regulatory landscape to protect community interests.

Your responsibilities will include:

Monitoring compliance with development consents and investigating breaches
n
Promoting education and awareness to empower the community
n
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency
n
Driving innovation and service improvements that reflect Council's strategic goals
n
n
This is a leadership role that demands resilience, strategic thinking and a genuine passion for compliance. Your ability to manage people effectively and influence outcomes will be key to your success.

Who We Are Looking For

We're seeking a confident and capable leader who thrives in complex regulatory environments and is ready to make a lasting impact. You will bring:

Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying, Town Planning, Government Statutory Investigation/Enforcement, or a related field
n
Proven experience in development compliance and a strong grasp of relevant legislation
n
Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
n
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams
n
A proactive, customer-focused mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
n
Political awareness and the ability to navigate sensitive issues with professionalism and tact
n

Package: $121,932-$134,823 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation. In addition an award vehicle allowance of $10,780 gross p.a will be paid.
n
Hours of work: Permanent Full Time. You will have the option of a 19 day month through Council's flex system
n
