About the Role
n
This position is primarily focused on chairside dental assisting, with some reception duties when required.
n
We are looking for someone who is reliable, punctual, organised and able to work independently while also being a positive and supportive team member.
n
The successful applicant will be comfortable working across a variety of dental procedures and assisting both our general dentists and periodontist.
n
Position details:
n
n
Casual or Part-Time – 3–4 days per week
n
Flexibility with days required, including some Saturdays
n
Rostered hours vary depending on the day
n
Part-Time:



$30–$32 per hour, depending on experience
n
Casual: $36–$39 per hour, depending on experience
n
Australian work rights required
n
Immediate start available for the right applicant
n
n
Our practice hours vary throughout the week, with shifts generally falling within:
n
n
Monday, Thursday & Friday: 8:30am – 6:00/6:30pm
n
Tuesday: 8:30am – 6:30/7:00pm
n
Wednesday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
n
Saturday: 7:30/8:00am – 1:00/2:00pm
n
n
Specific days and hours will be discussed with the successful applicant.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Assist clinicians in providing high-quality dental care
n
Provide professional and compassionate patient care
n
Prepare surgeries and maintain a high standard of clinical presentation
n
Maintain strict hygiene and infection control standards
n
Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment
n
Assist with a variety of general dental and periodontal procedures
n
Support reception when required, including bookings, phone calls, payments and health fund enquiries
n
Maintain accurate clinical records and follow practice procedures
n
Work collaboratively with the entire team and assist with covering shifts when required
n
n
About You
n
Our ideal candidate will have:
n
n
Minimum 2 years' experience in chairside dental assisting
n
Excellent communication and patient care skills
n
A friendly, professional and positive attitude
n
Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
n
Sound knowledge of sterilisation and infection control procedures
n
Confidence working independently and taking initiative
n
Valuable knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
n
Experience in periodontal dentistry is an advantage
n
Knowledge of D4W software is desirable but not essential
n
A strong work ethic with excellent reliability and punctuality
n
The ability to work well as part of a close-knit team
n
n
