About The Project
n
This is an exceptional opportunity to spearhead the safety delivery of a high-profile, highly complex $50M healthcare development located just on the fringe of the Brisbane CBD.
n

The Role
n
As the Safety Advisor, you will be the driving force behind our "Safety First" culture on-site. Working closely with an experienced Project Manager and Site Manager, you will ensure compliance, mentor site teams, and proactively manage risk.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Implement, manage,
and audit the company's Work Health & Safety (WHS) Management System on-site.
n
Conduct site inductions, toolboxes, and regular safety inspections/incident investigations.
n
Collaborate with subcontractors to review and approve SWMS, ensuring high-risk activities are strictly managed.
n
Lead a proactive safety culture by engaging with workers on the ground, coaching rather than policing.
n
Provide accurate and timely safety reporting to both project leadership and corporate state teams.
n

About You
n
We are looking for an experienced construction safety professional who thrives on complex builds and values strong working relationships.
n
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need
n
n
A formal qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (Cert IV minimum, Diploma preferred).
n
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Safety Advisor within the Australian commercial construction sector.
n
Proven experience working on large-scale commercial projects (experience within health, aged care, or live environments is highly desirable).
n
Solid technical knowledge of QLD WHS legislation, codes of practice, and Australian Standards.
n
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—the ability to influence site teams, subbies, and stakeholders effectively.
n
