Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Project Finance Officer to join their Brisbane CBD team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting project financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, reconciliations and transactional processing across multiple projects.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
End-to-end Accounts Payable processing, including supplier invoice management and payments
n
Accounts Receivable support, including invoicing, collections and account maintenance
n
Processing and reconciliation of intercompany transactions
n
Preparation and posting of month-end journals
n
Performing general ledger reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
n
Assisting with the implementation of finance automation and process improvement initiatives
n
Assisting with month-end close activities and project reporting requirements
n
Maintaining accurate financial records across multiple projects and cost centres
n
Supporting project teams with financial queries and cost tracking
n
Ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies and financial procedures
n
Assisting with audit requests and ad hoc finance projects
n
About You
n
Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Commerce (or studying towards)
n
Previous experience in a Finance Officer, Project Accountant Assistant, Assistant Accountant or similar role
n
Strong working knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger accounting
n
Experience processing intercompany transactions and reconciliations
n
Proven experience preparing month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
n
SAP and Intermediate Excel skills required
n
Advanced attention to detail with solid analytical and problem-solving skills
n
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a project environment
n
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
