We're partnering with a leading automotive services business to appoint a QLD State Operations Manager to provide senior operational leadership across two established divisions.
n
This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk. You'll be out in the business, building relationships, developing leaders, understanding what's really happening on the ground and driving meaningful improvement.

What will you be doing?
n
Your first priority will be people - supporting and mentoring the two Operations Managers, strengthening leadership capability and making sure teams feel supported, connected and valued.
n
From there, you'll build a deep understanding of both operations before identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency and performance.
n
You'll also:

Own operational P&L; performance and agreed KPIs
n
Coach and develop operational leaders
n
Drive accountability and engagement
n
Identify and implement practical improvements
n
Work closely with Sales and key dealership stakeholders
n
Get out into workshops and across the operation
n
Become a trusted operational partner to the QLD State Manager
n

What we're looking for
n
We're looking for an experienced operations leader and people manager who brings commercial nous, sound judgement and plenty of initiative.
n
You'll ideally have:
n
n
Senior operational leadership experience
n
Strong people leadership and coaching capability
n
Experience managing P&L;, budgets and KPIs
n
A collaborative, hands‐on leadership style
n
Strong commercial and problem‐solving skills
n
The confidence to make decisions and take ownership
n
n
Automotive experience is highly desirable, but not essential. More important is your ability to lead people, build trust, understand operations and make things happen.
n
And personality matters. This is a high‐energy, relationship‐driven environment, so we're looking for someone approachable, personable, commercially credible and genuinely enjoyable to work with.
