Position Overview
n
Fit & Finish Furnishings Pty Ltd, also trading as VistaShade Co, provides technical check-measure, installation, fit-off, motorisation, automation setup, commissioning, troubleshooting and related services for window furnishings.
n
Its product range includes indoor and outdoor blinds, roller shutters, plantation and aluminium shutters, smart hubs, remotes, battery-operated motors and other internal and external shading and automation products. Through VistaShade Co, the business is expanding its retail operations, with a focus on blinds, shading products and home-automation solutions.
n
We are seeking an experienced Electronic Automation Technician to install, configure, test, commission, maintain and repair the electronic control and automation systems used in our motorised window furnishings and smart-tint solutions.
n
The successful candidate will undertake technical site assessments; configure motors, controllers, hubs, sensors and remote-control equipment; diagnose system faults; and support the integration of shading products with compatible smart-home platforms. The role will also support the evaluation and implementation of current automation products as the business continues to expand its VistaShade operations.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Conduct technical site inspections and measurements to determine suitable motorisation, electronic control and automation solutions for blinds, shutters and smart-tint systems.
n
Install,
configure and commission motors, electronic controllers, smart hubs, sensors, remotes and associated automation equipment.
n
Test electronic control systems and integrated products to confirm correct operation, connectivity, calibration and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
n
Diagnose electronic and automation faults and adjust, repair or replace defective controllers, motors, sensors, wiring and related components where authorised.
n
Integrate compatible motorised window-furnishing systems with mobile applications, wireless networks and smart-home control platforms.
n
Perform preventive maintenance and quality-assurance inspections, prepare service records and provide technical guidance to installation teams and customers.
n

Required Skills and Qualifications
n
n
AQF Certificate III, Certificate IV or higher qualification in electronics, electrical engineering technology, instrumentation, automation or a related discipline, or at least three years of relevant experience.
n
At least two years of demonstrated experience installing, configuring, commissioning or maintaining electronic equipment and control systems.
n
Experience diagnosing faults in motors, controllers, sensors, remote-control equipment or related automation products.
n
Sound understanding of low-voltage electronic systems, wireless connectivity and smart-home integration.
n
Ability to interpret technical specifications, system layouts, wiring information and manufacturer instructions.
n
Strong technical problem-solving, communication and customer-service skills.
n
Ability to work independently across residential and commercial sites and accurately document
