Support Worker – Women's Crisis Accommodation
n
An opportunity is available for compassionate Support Workers to join a respected not-for-profit community services provider supporting women experiencing domestic and family violence.
n
Working in women's crisis accommodation, you will provide person-centred, trauma-informed support to help clients feel safe, respected and empowered as they rebuild their lives.

The role
n
As a Support Worker, you will:
n
Provide trauma-informed, person-centred support that promotes client safety, dignity and empowerment
n
Assist with client intake, assessment and orientation to the service
n
Work alongside Case Workers to implement individual support and case plans
n
Maintain accurate case notes and client records
n
Help ensure the accommodation service remains safe,
welcoming and well run
n
Advocate for clients and liaise with relevant community and external support services
n
Work in line with best practice, safeguarding requirements and work health and safety standards
n
About you
n
To be successful, you will have:
n
A Certificate IV in Community Services or related qualification, or equivalent relevant experience
n
Experience in community services, homelessness, or the domestic and family violence sector—highly regarded
n
Strong communication, interpersonal and record-keeping skills
n
A respectful, non-judgemental and client-focused approach
n
The ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a multidisciplinary team
n
A current NSW Driver Licence
n
Availability to work a rotating roster, including day, afternoon and sleepover shifts, as well as some weekends, public holidays and after-hours shifts
n
