The Opportunity

Our client is a highly regarded, large and complex Australian organisation that has experienced significant growth in recent years. With this growth has come increased investment in its finance function and a clear mandate to further enhance its financial planning, budgeting and commercial decision-support capability.

This newly created Senior Analyst position will sit within a high-calibre finance team and partner closely with senior finance and operational stakeholders. The role will have a strong FP&A; and commercial focus, supporting budgeting and forecasting, financial modelling, performance analysis and business decision-making.

The Challenge
n
Reporting into a Head Of Finance, key responsibilities will include:
n
Supporting the development, coordination and communication of budgets and forecasts
n
Providing insightful analysis of financial performance, including understanding and communicating key drivers of variances
n
Partnering with cost centre owners,



project managers and other non-finance stakeholders to support better commercial decision-making
n
Providing financial analysis across both operating and capital expenditure
n
Supporting financial modelling, scenario analysis and business cases
n
Identifying opportunities to improve business performance, productivity and resource utilisation
n
Delivering ad hoc financial analysis, modelling and reporting as required
n
Driving continuous improvement across finance processes, analytics, automation and BI reporting
n
The Expertise:
n
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
n
Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce or a related discipline
n
Approximately 5+ years' experience within finance, ideally across FP&A;, commercial finance, management accounting or business partnering
n
CA, CPA or CFA qualification, or currently studying towards one, will be highly regarded
n
Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and scenario analysis experience
n
Robust stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to partner effectively with non-finance stakeholders
n
Strong analytical capability, attention to detail and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and complex environment
