My Village Bakehouse is looking for a creative, reliable, and skilled Pastry Chef / Cook to join our team. We're a passionate local spot dedicated to serving up handcrafted pastries, signature cakes, and delicious light savory treats made fresh every day.

What You'll Be Doing:

Bake & Create: Prepare, bake, and decorate a daily mix of delicate pastries, cakes, tarts, and sweet treats.
n
Savory Prep: Cook up savory menu items pies and rolls.
n
Menu Innovation: Help craft seasonal specials and bring fresh, fun culinary ideas to the kitchen.
n
Quality & Presentation: Maintain exceptional food quality, taste, and beautiful presentation across both sweet and savory items.
n
Kitchen Standard: Keep a clean, safe, and efficient workspace following all food safety guidelines.
n

What We're Looking For:

Experience: Background as a Pastry Chef, Line Cook, or Commercial Baker is advantageous but not a necessity.
n
Attention to Detail:



Precision with measurements, baking science, and final plating/decorating.
n
Early Riser: Ready to jump into morning shifts to get the display cases full before doors open.
n
Great Attitude: Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to thrive in a busy, friendly local kitchen.

Perks & Advantages:

Competitive Pay: Generous compensation based on experience. $70,000 to $80,000 annually plus penalties for Full Time employment. Or Casual Employment up to 30 hours per week, casual rates will apply with penalties.
