Mater Hospital Springfield are currently seeking Senior Administration Officers! They will join high-performing teams across a variety of specialised units at our progressive healthcare facility. These are permanent full time positions.
n
This role requires you to work across a 7 day roster Monday - Sunday, 6am-8pm.
n
Based at our Springfield campus, this role will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield which opened early ****. This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, it's set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.

As a Senior Administration Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of your ward or unit. Your work will focus on providing high-quality administrative support that enables your team to deliver exceptional patient and consumer experiences.

Providing exceptional customer service to all patients and clients
n
Management of referrals, waitlists and appointment scheduling, aligning with KPIs and reporting requirements and ensuring accurate data entry
n
Management of outpatient and inpatient billing, including bulk billing, Medicare ineligible billing and private billing
n
Handling all patient enquiries, including phone calls and emails, ensuring positive patient experiences at all interactions
n
Supporting clinical teams,
ensuring smooth flow of daily clinics
n
Providing administrative support to clinic staff
n
Maintaining a high level of discretion and confidentiality, complying with administration and financial policy and procedure, maintaining accurate, current and accessible records
n

About you
n
n
Experience in senior administrative roles, ideally within healthcare or a similar service-focused environment.
n
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Health Information Systems or equivalent.
n
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality in all tasks.
n
A collaborative mindset, demonstrating integrity, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
